If you're ever visiting Frederick and want to stay at a place that feels like home - please book this space. Along with the excellent experience from our hosts to the location of the home, it's definitely one of the best experiences my group and I had. Would 100% recommend to anyone who wants that relaxation and walking distance to restaurants + shops! We can't wait to book again when we return.

I enjoyed my stay at Matthijs’ place and it was exactly as described / shown in the photos! Great place to stay if you are working remotely while in the area or exploring downtown. I would definitely book again!

It’s so special to be in a vintage home that’s comfortable but has many of the original details. The hand-plastered walls ad the highly burnished wood floors were delightful. Although we didn’t cook much in the kitchen, it was particularly well organized and functional. We had a great time!

The Red Brick Retreat was a perfect spot to rest and enjoy all the amenities downtown Frederick has to offer. Great location, lovely accommodations and a wonderful host made for the perfect weekend away.

Really just a perfect Frederick home, in a perfect downtown location. Very attractive red house in the middle of the action, but still in a quiet location. Carroll Creek is less than a 5 minute walk, and there are dozens of awesome restaurants nearby.

Highly recommended! We booked a stay here over a long weekend, and had an absolutely wonderful time. Jennifer’s house is fantastic - comfortable, lovely furnishings, thoughtful amenities, and a great location for walking all throughout downtown Frederick. There was a provided parking space nearby which was helpful to not have to worry about locating street parking, and Jennifer was always quick to answer for any questions we had or for local recommendations.

Jennifer was a wonderful host, very helpful and communicative. The Red Brick Retreat was perfect for our stay in downtown Frederick. The house is cozy and well stocked with little extras that made us feel right at home. The location is walkable to so many great restaurants, shops and art galleries. We will definitely be back in future.

The Mellow was a very comfortable place to stay. The hosts really paid attention to little details like a wireless qi charging pad and motion activated night lights which really help when you’re staying in a new place. The location is very convenient to many of the things in the Frederick area, yet I found it to be pretty quiet for being in the city.
The kitchen was well equipped, the TV was nice, the couch was comfortable, and there was even a computer and video game machine but I don’t get a chance to try those.
I highly recommend this place.
